Well, I know they are going to try to do this. Why call it a "payroll" tax though? It doesn't make me feel good when I totally misuse a word. It's not even a euphemism. It's just that there is no other word for it so they borrowed that one. They should say "automatically deducted" or "automatic" to show that the previous owner of the money has no control over what happens to it.
