WASHINGTON (AP) ― Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's wife and daughter are recovering in a Washington-area hospital after a car accident.
A spokesman for Reid says the majority leader's wife, Landra, and their daughter, Lana, were injured Thursday when their vehicle was rear-ended. Reid left the Senate for the hospital. The spokesman says details are unclear.

They’ll know more tomorrow when Mrs. Reid is stabilized enough for further tests. She’s a tiny thing...I feel bad she has to go through this at her age. They probably don’t want to say more about her condition until all the sons fly in from wherever they live.

she is NOT a child, she is 49 years old. How many other accidents occurred today in this vast Nation? how many have lost their lives? seems the media only care about the Rich and Famous...There are many in this Nation that need our Prayers and thoughts...lets remember them ALL, especially lets remember our Military that is watching out for our safety.

Then again, this might bring out a sympathy vote. Part of Biden’s success was sympathy for the death of his wife and child in an accident.
His family are going to lose BIG in November. There was no reason for them to be in Washington, but I am sorry they were hurt. I hope they heal well.

I’m friends with one of Harry’s sons (the good one :-) - and yes, we’ve agreed to disagree on most issues!) Harry’s wife and daughter are very nice people...they absolutely deserve our prayers at this time. That being said, I won’t comment further on Harry other than to state that I am actively working on one of his opponent’s campaigns in order to make sure that he does not get re-elected!
Prayers for his wife and daughter, but Reid is the most contemptible of men. I would not be surprised if he is not pleased by the sympathy vote he can now go after to save his sorry hide this Fall.
