In a sign that the Eric Massa controversy may not go away any time soon, the House on Thursday advanced a Republican measure calling for the ethics committee to "investigate fully" what House Democratic leaders and their staffs knew ahead of time about the ex-congressman's alleged misconduct.

A culture of corruption that rises to the top ranks of the Democrat Party.

DRAIN THE SWAMP!

Is this an answer to my prayers that Commiecare will die? I hope. Once again our backs are to the wall and we get little victories like this and the Parlimentarian. War is not over though.

The measure calls for Congress to preserve all relevant records and for the ethics panel to determine in 10 days whether to establish a formal "investigative subcommittee."

Seems to leave lots of wiggle room.

Here's how Boehner's proposal was "revised" before passing, from Townhall: GOP loses bid for ethics probe of Dem leaders:

The resolution introduced by Boehner would have given the ethics committee no choice about investigating what Democratic leaders knew about Massa. Instead, the House voted 402-1 to allow the ethics committee to decide its next step.

The Dems in charge sat on this story like Barney Frank on a handsome man's face, until the day after Massa announced he would vote against the health care bill.

Actually, it's one of the few times I can think of that the Democratic Party saved the taxpayers some real money - once they kicked him out, they didn't have to bribe him.

Heh... keep up the fight -- but don't lose sight of the necessity to defeat Obamacare. Thanks neverdem.

That pelosie witch used this to try to get a YES vote out of him, or make him quit. Why else would anything like this bother a Democrat?
