You were asking ...

That means yes?

Ummmm..., you're kidding right? LOL ...

I mean, I point out that the Bible says that God knows the beginning from the end, that the plan of Salvation was worked out before Creation ever came about -- and you want to know if God knows who is going to choose the Messiah of Israel as their Savior and who is going to reject the Savior?

I mean... really now! :-)

[... ummm..., did you ever consider taking a logic and deduction course in school? :-) ...]

You were asking ...

So, have you been granted the ability to make spiritual discernments?

That's up to God to determine... for me or for anyone else...

I mean, I keep saying that, but you don't seem to get it. You don't choose, I don't choose. You don't qualify, I don't qualify. God chooses and God determines according to His will and He keeps His own counsel... doncha know... :-)

I didn't know we were talking about Presidents... that's news to me...

But, since you bring up the President, if you want to know whether the President chooses the Messiah of Israel as his savior or not... if that's your question... then yes He does (i.e., whether he accepts or rejects).

And I bet in all that emotion folks are Thanking God (being humorous) without thinking twice.
Whew Thank God the building did not crash down on that one...wonder if it will hold up in the next one...

whew Thank God that window I was standing next to did not explode into my body...hope I am not next to the next one that does...

Oh Dear Lord! (insert word/phrase).

Back to your buildings being up to code.
Do you know the history regarding EQ in short of your area.

As in was there a gigantic quake back in history that wiped out the buildings and then they were built back in code?

I keep thinking the year 1985 or 95?
Ack my brain log cant bring up anything.

You were asking ...

Yes, I understand your repetition. So, is it possible for a human to do something that God does NOT know will happen? Yes or no?

This is getting just a wee bit tedious here.

The Bible makes it clear that God is all knowing, and knows all things from beginning to end, and it's absolute and all-encompassing. He is outside of time, which means that He is not constrained by the parameter of time and is at every time at every instant and in every place without exception, within "creation" itself, and also exists outside of creation and is independent of it (and even outside of the time parameter).

Can the explanation be any more comprehensive than that? I don't think so...

As a side note... I hope you're not talking about "Openness Theology" which is not what the Bible says...

I'm sure that some may disagree with how I may attempt to define it, but it goes like this... that God knows the "possibilities" for the future and your choices, but He does not actually "know" which one of those choices you are going to make, so God watches to see which one you do choose... (again, I'm not making a strict definition here, but just trying to get across the point of Openness Theology).

And for the record, I do not see that the Bible teaches this kind of understanding... of "Openness Theology"...

I hope that's not what you're trying to say here... LOL ...

See #113.

The question was if it is possible for a man to do something that God does NOT know is going to happen?

Your answer could be a lot more comprehensive, if you said either yes or no.

You were asking ...

So, have you been chosen?

I just don't think you get it... :-) Okay, let's go back to Peter and take a look here...

Matthew Chapter 16

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His
disciples, saying, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?"

14 So they said, "Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others
Jeremiah or one of the prophets."

15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"

16 Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the
living God."

17 Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah,
for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is
in heaven.

As to the question of who Jesus is... you'll notice that it was not Peter who said to Jesus, "I have now discerned the answer... You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

He said only "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

It was Jesus who let Peter know that this is spiritual discernment, because it is not something that is revealed to someone from their "flesh and blood" existence, but something that is revealed to a person from God, the Father in Heaven.

Again, you'll notice that it was Jesus who told Peter that this was the case, and it was not Peter who told Jesus...

And so, once again, this is something that comes from God, according to His choice and His will and it's not something that is a matter for "flesh and blood" but a matter for the Father in Heaven to reveal.

I hope you are getting it now... :-)

I don't think so... I believe I've expanded the answer far beyond any boundaries that can exist... it's about as all encompassing as it can get...

I would have to be God, Himself, to be any more comprehensive, and then you, being human, couldn't understand it... LOL ...

[ ... and no, I'm not saying that I'm God, lest anyone misunderstand... :-) ...]

There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answered and said to them,

“Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things?

I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.

Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem?

I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”

Luke 13 1-5

The question was if it is possible for a man to do something that God does NOT know is going to happen?

My answer in Post #113 was the following ...

Even sinful and unrighteous man (any of mankind) is the recipient of common grace from God, otherwise everyone would be in the lake of fire right now (Revelation 20).

I wasn't talking about someone doing something that God did not know about (and remember God knows all, knows the beginning from the end, and is outside of the parameter of time). I was talking about "Common Grace"...
