That would be a bad mistake, a verrrrrrry bad mistake. In essence, declaring a full-scale war on the American people on American soil. Bad ju-ju for the UN.

True. Keep in mind, though that many foreign troops would have no sense of kinship with American citizens, and some might have no compunctions about being downright brutal with the citizenry. Nor would they have any loyalty to --nor oath to be loyal to-- our Constitution and our Rights as set described there. Combined with a language barrier, the possibility of atrocity would be high, and even the rumor of such would strengthen American resolve in most quarters although some would roll over and lick boots.
