A SCHOOL has become the first non-Islamic primary in Britain to get strict accreditation for serving Halal food, it emerged yesterday.
Although it is a non-faith school, 95 per cent of pupils at Daisyfield Primary School in Blackburn, Lancs are Muslim.
In an illustration of the rapidly changing face of Britain, it is the first state, non-Muslim, primary school to get the certificate from the Halal Monitoring Committee.
Although many primary schools in the UK serve Halal meat, they are certified only by the Halal Food Authority.

Ohhhh, this is disgraceful!
We should be serving haraam food tainted with bacon, pork and ham!
Where is Vlad the Impaler when you need him?
That’s a great display, but I’d never cook a pig that way. It would let it dry out too much. Skin side down to hold the juices is the best way.
This, ladies and gents, is that rapidly changing face:
(From a rally in London.)
You do have a point, have never cooked a full pig,at a mexican party they dug a hole in the ground thru in a bunch of coals and then the pig wrapped in Chicken wire covered in banana leaves..
Yummy.
Very juicy.
Slainte..
We are the UK II.
My mistake, this is taking place in the UK. They had better reverse course VERY SOON.
Thanks for the ping.
From your home page, congrats on your wonderful family. You obviously realize what the true stakes are in this war for the soul of America. Let's hope that we don't falter so that your little fellow grows up in a land that's still free and full of opportunity.
I heard that! :)
My wife works for a company that sells BBQ tools.
I get lectured each week honey that is not the way to do it,when Steven Raichlen visted us he said to do it this way.
The little fellow is my beautiful daughter Alexandria, but the son is on the way ETA july 8..
We will not falter,to much to lose.
Sorry about the confusion on your daughter. I read the text on your page but in writing my post all I remembered was “Alexander the Great”. Since I’ve actually attained an authentic “old fart” age I’ll plead that for my excuse... /g
I have a couple of Raichlen’s books and have tried quite a few of his techniques. I’ve just always been fascinated with new and unusual cooking methods. I also would love to be able to justify spending the money for a ceramic kamado-type grill, maybe a Big Green Egg or a Primo oval.
HALAL food by it’s very nature is sold exclusively by Islamic producers. Separation of Mosque and State. Where is the ACLU???
Bring a packed lunch of a ham sandwich and pork rinds.
The ACLU doesn’t operate in the UK, however there ought to be a british equivalent.
The UK has gone so far down the rabbit hole of PC insanity that most of the people there would probably support this HALAL BS under the guise of diversity and tollerance. *spit*
i thought this would be in Fairfax, va.
We have the books too and they are good.
My wifes company sells his products his sauces ,rubs etc..
He comes and visits the company every few years and give BBQ lessons
I cannot compete with that and don’t own a tv so have never seen him just his pic on the side of a box or book..
Slainte..
