Im trying hard to convince myself that this is actually a devilishly clever scheme by Graham to set a political trap for Democrats by pushing the issue now.
But Im losing the argument.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the end of the day, the president needs to step it up a little bit, Graham told POLITICO on Tuesday. One line in the State of the Union is not going to do it.
For the past six months, Graham and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) who meet with Obama at 3 p.m. Thursday have worked on a reform framework. Their plan, which hasnt been introduced yet, includes a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants (a liberal must-have) while sweetening the pot for moderates by proposing tough new safeguards, including a biometric national ID card for workers
Graham said he wants a greater sense of direction to break the cycle of distrust that doomed comprehensive immigration reform during the Bush administration, despite the support of a Republican president and major party figures like Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).
I think moderate Democrats have to come on board before you get Republicans, and Republicans have to come on board before you get Democrats, said Graham
The hope is to build a consensus around a measure that could pass sometime in the not too distant, non-election-year future.

They know theyll never get Blue Dogs to commit this year, so the idea is
what? To woo a bunch of centrist Democrats now who might very well end up being tossed out in November anyway? Even if they brought a few around, is there even a single Republican whod move an inch on this with the tea party crowd watching suspiciously? McCain supposedly hasnt so much as spoken to Graham about it and top RINO Susan Collins says shes not even thinking about it. The best I can do to justify Grahams lobbying is to imagine that its kabuki designed to impress upon Latino voters how reluctant The One is to fulfill his promise to them. ([D]elay obviously adds to disillusionment, says amnesty shill Robert Menendez.) See, its the Republicans who want to get to work on this, so open-borders advocates should vote (or rather, not vote) accordingly in November never mind the fact that watching the GOP inevitably backtrack from that posture if/when the bill does come to the floor next year will only irritate amnesty supporters more. Is that what hes up to, or is he
really this intent on cramming legalization down Americas piehole? I want to believe.
Sit down and STFU Lindsey. We Americans are trying to take our government back.
NEVER TRUST GRAMNESTY EVER! I heard this man on some Sunday show and he was just disgusting. IMHO this man is a traitor to this country!
Lindsey needs to be locked in a closet until the next opportunity to vote him out.
His butte buddy McShame is pulling his strings. If McShame wasn’t trying to keep his seat, he would be pushing this little b!tch out of the way and taking charge.
Where the hell is Steele on this? He needs to go also.
Doesn’t Mr. Graham have anything better to, like maybe go pound some sand?
Apart from Pelosi and Reid, Goober is literally the most despicable POS in Congress. He is without any question whatsoever an absolute embarassment to Republicans.
I really hate that piece of puke. And he looks just like the guy who fired me.
Yeah, good luck with that.
Another affimative action failure.
So the illegals in AZ can vote for McCain.
Lindsey's just doing the work Juan won't do (while running for reelection).
For whatever twisted psychological reason, they're both fanatics about amnesty. And Lindsey's just gone hog wild in general, meeting with Obama and other Dims about amnesty, cap and tax and even that nonsense about swapping help in closing Gitmo for a move of the KSM trial out of NYC. It's very easy to despise both those RINO backstabbers.
And I'm confident Juan's on board with everything Lindsey's doing, and advising his understudy often.
This is pretty disturbing as well:

It’s almost as if he’s in sync with 0bama to take this country down. And maybe, he is...
Mark Levin roasted Linsey on his show tonight
eye watering
Let’s “step it up” and toss Grahamnesty out of Congress.
Can this piece of garbage be recalled if he’s not up for reelection this year? Does he want to destroy this country on purpose or is his head buried so far up his boyfriend’s ass that he can’t see? We better start replacing these traitors with real patriots before it’s too late.
Maybe his house boy Lupe is an illegal and he's pushing amnesty so Lupe won't have to hide, chained up in the basement anymore.
McLame needed a BIG reality check before he finally shut his piehole on amnesty...Sounds like the SC electorate needs to sent this RINO the same message.
