It was one of those small fires that firefighters face every day.
But even the smallest blaze can turn on you -- as shown on a newly surfaced video of a backdraft that injured four Chicago firefighters last month.
The video, shot by a neighbor through a window, will now be used to train recruits.

Is this typical firefighter response, or the response of the Chicago firefighters??
I see all kinds of people walking around, finally one goes up the ladder that was placed on the wall about one-one half minutes earlier, gets blasted, and recovers at the bottom of the ladder.
Still none of about six others are doing anything, just walking around the yard, no hoses, no equipment.
Maybe this is the “Chicago Way”, just like Zer0 walking around on the community organizer streets, havin’ some smokes, doing nuthin!
Maybe they are doing what they are trained to do and we don’t know what that is.
Just a guess but the house was boarded up , unoccupied and already toast ,, no reason to risk yourself or even hurry ,, nothing to save.. it appears to have been a reasonable attitude to assume.
