From the start there has been something fishy about this campaign against Toyota. It sounds like something designed to restore GM after its clunker-humiliation. I would like to see some information about any connections of the drivers with the union or political friends of GM.

I’m with you. I remember seeing a TV report about Toyota closing the huge NUMMI plant in California. It showed the UAW workers lobbying on the streets to try to force Toyota to keep the plant open.
Anyone know the status of that closure?
I'm no fan of the way GM handled its financial affairs, but in all fairness, most of their vehicles were good; not clunkers.
1978-1984 yeah they were, same as Ford's were. For the past 20 years, they've been producing great cars and trucks. So, knock off the anti-American rant!
Now, having said that, there's still something fishy about the Toyota mess. If nothing else, the way the media are on hyperdrive in their coverage. And this guy was obviously looking to cash in!
I agree. They might be better off to just pull out of America. Too much trouble here. I wonder if any of this crap has happened in any other countries.
