Maybe coming from an Astronaut, this will have some impact on the knuckle draggers out there. We here at FR already know this, but it's good to see it in the Washington Post, where the beltway idiots can see it as well as many others.

"This administration really does not believe in American exceptionalism." What's exceptional about doing what you did 50 years prior? Even assuming that NASA could meet the deadline and the budget? Maybe it is time to see if private industry, with some government funding, can do a better job cheaper, and in less time?
