I always thought that Number 7....didn't have anything to do with Bush. That the ship was done with it's tour..and it was sign for the boat and it's crew..for "their mission" being over.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong here....but I thought this was a fabrication by the MSM....

The USS Lincoln was in range of the Marine One helicopter; there was no need to make a trap landing with an S3 jet aircraft and the banner was manufactured at the White House (even though an aircraft carrier has at least a dozen shops that could have done the job)...connect the dots!

The ship was heading home and turned around on 9/11, they set a record of service at sea that year, and the military (Tommy Franks) GWB, wanted to welcome them home and celebrate the end and return of the airman from Iraq.
Just read what GWB actually said that day in his speech.
