Oh really?
Sarah Palin’s political power in the Republica party comes for the most part from people that are sick and tired of the crap McCain has pulled over the years.
If McCain is flushed despite all the endorsements (including from her No. 1 competitor, Mitt Romney) and strings and favors and money he has built up, it will demonstrate the strength of the power behind Sarah Palin.
Sarah Palin is just one human being. Her power, like the power of all politicians, is given to her by other people.
Most of her supporters, including myself, are willing to cut her some slack on her support of McCain, but can you find me one person in Arizona who is going to change their vote because of this endorsement and support? What does that tell you?
And if there are enough of us (in Arizona) to knock off a senior senator in a PRIMARY who just two years ago was the head of the presidential ticket? What would that tell you?
It would tell you that we are the most powerful force in American politics today. And because Sarah Palin is the only current national politician who has garnered our support in a significant degree on a national level, at this point in time, our power is her power.
Thus, despite conventional wisdom, a McCain defeat, even after Sarah Palin has supported him, would demonstrate the strength of her power and influence, not weakness.
