On the subject of Sarah Palin campaigning for Sen. John McCain go back to when George W. Bush campaigned for Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania's primary election. I decided then that national figures could campaign in a state during the general election for any state or national office. However, during the primary cycle it should be up to people and organizations representing people in the state to make the case.

Palin owes McCain nothing. She was the only bright spot in a failed campaign, and he treated her terribly. McCain forces granted her such selective influence as might increase their daily polling numbers, and then blamed her for their lack of success. It seems to me the loyalty issue is a guilt card one may or may not play successfully within the political class, which seldom displays integrity. I believe any association with McCain has and will only degrade Palin.

Those politically active people, such as Palin, who want smaller government and greater freedom do not understand they are in a war without bloodshed against an implacable enemy. The town hall meetings and tea party movement seem to indicate some folks are willing to acknowledge (for now) the existence of a long standing declaration of war by liberals/progressives. They must remain steadfast and only support leaders who have a genetic predisposition to freedom equivalent to the men who wrought the Miracle in Philadelphia.

Juan McCain is as bad as Obama. Sarah is now a total McCain stooge. JD Hayworth has to win this race or we are screwed.

So tell me, how would Sarah respond to the MSM attack machine when they played speach after speach of Palin telling the world that McCain would be a great president, and then refusing to support him? That’s Rush’s take, and it makes perfect sense to me. She has no choice, she supported him to be president, she has to support him know if she ever intends to run for anything...
