I support and read the Drudge report.
However, yesterday I apparently DID get a trojan virus from a site Drudge pointed to. The URL was dedicated to news about Philadelphia, and concerned police raiding bars serving unlicensed beer.
Microsoft Security Essentials popped up a message saying the site had been reported as the source of malware. i went bak to Druge, clicked the URL a second time and saw the same message. Within the URL, I clicked on nothing I considered an active area. However, I may have clicked on a background area in order to let it capture the mouse, so I could scroll with the thumbwheel.
A few minutes later Microsoft Security Essentials popped up again to block a trojan. Since this never has happened before, in spite of extensive browsing, I think the virus came from the site Drudge pointed to.
I reported this to Drudge but am unsure the message got thru, as the two webforms I encountered appeared to have difficulty accepting my feedback.
Why is Drudge responsible for censoring what sites you can go to?
