(Missouri Rep.) Cleaver: Obama doesn't have the votes to pass health care reform (201 out of 216)
Kansas City Star ^ | March 8, 2010 | Steve Kraske

Posted on 03/08/2010 1:45:10 PM PST by Second Amendment First

Congressman Emanuel Cleaver said today on KCUR's "Up to Date" that President Barack Obama doesn't have the votes to pass health care reform in the U.S. House.

"We're not at 217," Cleaver said, referring to the number needed to pass the bill.

Later, the three-term Democrat from Kansas City said the passage number could be 216 given vacancies in the House.

The count today, Cleaver said, is about 201 health care supporters.

That number, he added, could fluctuate significantly as a final vote nears.

Listen to the show, that also featured Kansas Congressman Dennis Moore, here.

This whole scene is disgusting. Will there be hell to pay when the USA is subverted to these political perverts and jackals? Years ago, I stood on a brass plaque in Paris, France, where in the French revolution over 4000 people were guillotined. Will there be such a plaque some day here? I hope we can just vote them out and then shun them.

We have a few things in our favor on Commie Care:

1) Pelosi is a liar, and a snake. The House Dems know this.

2) Reid is a liar and a snake, and they know this as well.

Everyone is watching for the payoffs now, which helps a bit ;-)

Even if Comrade 0bama's chief lacky Rahm was caught on camera delivering a briefcase full of cash and caviar to a member of Congress who then signs a receipt promising to vote 'yes' on the 0bamaHealthScare bill, the lamestream media wouldn't care, the courts would shrug, and a few days later the public would be asking about the latest American Idol contestants.

Yeah, mcjessup, you're right about most U.S. resident airheads keeping a better eye on American Idol than on the DC Moloch Machine.

However, most of the resident-airheads don't bother to vote; the air-headiest of them voted for the first time in November, 2008, and that may be their citizen participation achivement for the decade.

And the solid citizens who ALWAYS vote, are watching for the payoffs.

So stephenjohnbanker, you're right, too.

In any case, those who participate most, will prevail.

Remember that in the first American Revolution, those fighting the British were scarcely in the majority of the population, many of our past ancestors (not all but many) did NOT rise up as one, contrary to popular belief, 20 percent or more chose to remain loyal to King George, with others choosing to be neutral.

I wouldn’t even want to guess the numbers today.

“20 percent or more chose to remain loyal to King George, with others choosing to be neutral.”

We have 20-25% communists here(never used to exceed 20% before). and 20% brain dead.

I’m sure “Dr. Obama” will shove this through. He and his team of specialists led by “Dr. Pelosi and Dr. Hoyer” will get the members in line.

They’ll get enough Democrats to bend over and grab their ankles.

ACTION ALERT

With handy, clickable contact information

Here's the official Code Red List for the selected HOUSE DEMOCRATS THAT NEED TO BE PUSHED HARDEST.

The clickable links go to their online Message System. You can use the same City, State, Zip, and Area Codes as one of their local district offices (usually listed on the same page) with any street address you want --- you're using local information to get through their spam filter. For Zip+4, use any 4 digits added onto the selected Zip Code.

Write a brief, punchy letter in your Word Program, and cut-and-paste it to one congresscritter after another from the CODE RED LIST.

It is easy to do 15 or 20 of them in an hour.

Each Congressional website also has the phone, fax, and district office addresses for each Representative. I strongly urge you to phone, fax, and if at all possible, personally visit a District Office, This makes a maximum impression.

We can absolutely win this one.

Go get ‘em.

IMHO you’re right. Demrat pols will not jeapardize their place at the public trough to help Onada. They see the hand writing on the wall. Last mid-term results, retiring dem office holders and what they heard at their home district meetings last summer plus the Christmas break sessions.

Even if they try to bring it to vote somewhere, somehow it will not have a chance to become law before the Apr 15 Tax Protest in Washington. That event could get ugly if Onada keeps on this track. He has not had one thing go right for him since his usurped inauguration. If Onada was a Pubbie the left and its propaganda organs would be howling in the streets demanding The One’s impeachment.

Why are there any votes for this bill?

1) The Left wants government control of health care as a prelude to complete socialization of the country over time.

2) Others are being bribed on a massive scale.
