Accused killer John Albert Gardner III had nothing to do with the tip that led law enforcement to Amber Dubois’ remains, according to a local private investigator who worked on the case.
Bill Garcia, hired by Amber’s family shortly after she disappeared, said he was told by a person with first-hand knowledge that the tip about the location of the remains did not come from Gardner, who was charged Wednesday with the rape and murder of Chelsea King, 17, of Poway.
“The entire Chelsea King event emotionally pulled at somebody who had this information,” Garcia said. “They’ve seen the community in a lot of pain. Someone who had been afraid to say something finally came forward.”
Amber was 14 when she disappeared the morning of Feb. 13, 2009, as she was walking to Escondido High School. Her body was found Saturday in the Pala area of North County, authorities announced today.

Child predators abducted Chelsea King, Jahi Turner, Amber Dubois, and Danielle Van Dam from their homes or parks in San Diego, CA. Meanwhile, a federal judge has ordered California to release 43,000 inmates over the next two years to prevent prison over-crowding.

Did they ever find Jahi, I remember that case(Since I live here in Cali) there have been so many missing kids here that have never been found, its a damn shame. I checked out Megan’s law web site, there is a sex offender(if he still lives there not sure) that lives about 8 blocks from me. Simi Valley is crawling with them, I was really surprised..I guess these vermin are everywhere

No. He disappeared several years ago when he was very young - - maybe 2 years old. He has never been found.

It was a sad story, his Dad said he was at the park and he disappeared, I never did believe the story from his Dad, sounded very suspicious to me, but we will probably never know what really happened to him
Step-dad. Mom was in the military, I believe but not positive.
