(Sigh) Must be nice - I could understand it if it was just one gun, but all of them! I’ve had over half a dozen M1s over the years and have had nothing but trouble. Everything from a cheap Plainfield to a good National Postal Meter to Winchester to IBM even. All jammed on me after only a few mags. Took them to the gunsmith and got only shrugs. Pity though. I really like M1s. I think I’m just unlucky with them. Never had those problems with anything else.

Now they were pretty much all WWII surplus - could be age wear and fatigue. Or it could be that I’ve never cleaned a gun in my life. (Just kidding.)

Odd. My first was a lousy Universal.

Worked like a hose. Got a Rockola and it works like a hose

The one issue I see with the M1 carbine is that they deliver a blow to the rear of the receiver and the sights get knocked loose.

Its a great lil carbine. Tight and quick.
