They get away with it because not enough of us scream “You Lie” back at them. We expect them to play by our rules , this they will never do. Until we stand up and throw it back in their faces it will continue.... we need to shame them

“but I never thought that CNN itself would fabricate the news, and imply a reality that’s just not true.”

They have a history of doing exactly that. Have you never heard of what CNN did with the “Operation Tailwind” fabrication they produced back in the late ‘90s?

I was so happy to see your quote about judging Angles. I've found that not very many Christians are aware of that verse. I once heard someone say to another person that we are not to judge others. The person came back with, “why? don't you know that someday we will judge Angels”. I'm sure the other guy went straight home to look it up. LOL

Look, she's wearing 'faux' animal print. Isn't that a bit deceptive? Does her clothing choice make her a liar? According to her own arguments, yes--I believe so.

Giles and O’Keefe aren’t doing that exactly, though. They do not exactly have the moral stature of Jesus, and may be tempted to use their stunts more for attention than for moral correction. Personally, I am pondering whether they are more like papparazzi from the tabloids, with an unusual target, or whether they are wiser/of better character than that.

An interesting question but irrelevant in my view. They threw a wrench in the spokes of some who intended to do me wrong. I applaud them and wish them well, even if their motives aren't solely altruistic. Many people their age are either completely lazy and apathetic or exert whatever energies they have to destroying things that are good.

But they didn’t actually do anything bad to the ACORN people (unless you count lying, as the original blogger did). What they really did was to allow the people to do something bad to themselves with more exposure than the people thought they were going to get.

What about David lying about being crazy? Sarah lying about being Abraham’s wife? Rahab concealing the fact that she knew where the Israelite spies were?
