You know, I’d bet that everyone who commits suicide has done at least one thing that they either knew was morally wrong or which they had been told was morally wrong according to a certain code.
So, I guess the answer for Mizz Barr is that there should be no moral codes, because moral codes make people feel bad when they cannot be perfect, and feeling bad leads to suicide.
I seem to remember someone named Paul explaining that the purpose of the law (a moral code) was precisely so that people could know that they were not perfect and could never be perfect. There’s more to that story, but I’ll leave it at that for now.
“Id bet that everyone who commits suicide has done at least one thing that they either knew was morally wrong or which they had been told was morally wrong according to a certain code.”
You would be dead wrong, and are cruel for stating this.
