Conservative icon U.S. Rep. Tom McClintock endorsed Steve Poizner for Governor today. Since I am at the CRA Convention, and am posting via my Blackberry, I will include an excerpt from Poizner's press release...
FROM THE RELEASE:
Tom McClintock, the conservative standard-bearer in California and champion of Republican principles, today endorsed Steve Poizner for Governor. In making his endorsement, Rep. McClintock called Steve Poizner the "only conservative candidate" in the race and the only real reformer running for governor.
"I trust Steve to restore Republican principles to California government," said Rep. McClintock. "Steve Poizner is the only conservative candidate in this race and is serious about implementing real reform in Sacramento. I am convinced that Meg Whitman has nothing to offer other than Arnold Schwarzenegger's third term. That is something California cannot afford."

I think Ill vote for my dog.
—
Can your dog roll over? They’re qualified, if so. ;-)
Get your dog on the ballot and my wife and I will both vote for him.
As I recall, this is also the guy who, as Governor Moonbeam", signed the legislation allowing public employees to unionize, a major cause of the current budgetary log jam in Sacramento.
I did not say Brown would be better that Whitman. I said that should Whitman be elected, anyone that supported her will end view their vote as a mistake.
Translation: Support another candidate on the GOP ticket and make sure they get elected.
Do you like more taxes? Should Whitman get into office, you can count it.
You Do NOT have just one vote. Where did you get that silly idea. You have as many votes as you people you can bring to the polls to support the candidate you like. Or you can just type smarmy replies on here and continue to lose as you have been. Saying you support Poizner but will settle for Whitman is not very convincing to people thinking of voting for Whitman in the first place. Try a little commitment instead of waffling.
What about those items being played on TV saying he consorted with the dems to undercut prop 13 ..?? How could Tom support that ..??
I personally don’t like Poizner .. so even though Tom says he’s a good guy .. I’m not sure who I’ll vote for .. but I’m definitely not voting for Meg - because she thinks Van Jones is “brilliant”; a “genius”.
We surely don’t need that guy advising Meg about anything.
In the video I saw, she said Van Jones was, “Brilliant”; a “Genius”.
That ended my considering her. Can’t vote for somebody who supports Van Jones.
I hope your not inclined to vote for Meg Whitman? She is a fan of Van Jones!
Yes, I'm behind.
