And IMO that's the odd thing here.
In almost any jurisdiction in the US what occurred would be 'a crime' of some type. I have a C&R License from the BATF and as such, I get the 'Big Book' (Finally issued on a CD) of the Firearms Laws and their legal use in the US and Territories. I think I'd be hard pressed to search the latest CD of Laws and find that no 'crime' whatsoever was committed by the Store Owner.
Granted this article is not the best written and pertinent information is lacking. But to me something doesn't seem right.

In Florida you can use deadly force to defend yourself with no requirement to retreat.
Start chasing people down and you are in for some legal trouble. I doubt the laws in MS are much different.
