Nellis Air Force Base’s Main Gate On Lock Down

NELLIS AFB, NV (Upfront News) — Nellis Air Force Base told Upfront News late Friday its main gate was placed on lock down after an unknown incident nearby.
A spokesman for the base said Metro PD was on the scene and there was “no threat to the public” or the base. The spokesman said when there is law enforcement activity in the area, for example a store being robbed, it could prompt a lock down of areas of the base.
A spokesperson for the Metro Police Department could not be reached for comment.

NAw, I was stationed there for half my Active duty time, Red / Green Flag was business as usual - just normal gate checks.
TO lock down on a Friday PM - something must have spooked ‘em. But the whole area just off base is lousy with gangbangers - one of the biggest reasons we left the AO.
