Princess Aiko, the eight-year-old granddaughter of the Japanese Emperor, has become unable to go to school after suffering a series of anxiety attacks and stomach aches.
Her problems, said the Imperial Household Agency, arose from her rough behaviour at the hands of boys in her age group at the ultra-exclusive Gakushuin school she attends in central Tokyo.

Can’t she just have the troublemakers beheaded? She is the Emporer’s daughter after all!
Sarcasm?
Cutie Pie!!! I hope she overcomes it all...
So the granddaughter of the man that was god is now being teased to the point she’s afraid of going to school.
wow
maybe she has inherited the predisposition to emotional illness of her mother
At least she’s not worried about her daddy losing his job.
Emperor to kid’s parents: ‘you have dishonored your emperor with your children’s shameless acts. Now in order to restore your honor, you must commit hara kiri..”
Princess Aiko is a darling little girl. It looks like she has a Shiba Inu (spelling) dog on her leash. Another of my uncles was building ships in Richmond CA during WW II. A ship docked carrying captured prisoners and a litter of puppies from their ship. My uncle brought home a little dog for his daughters that looked very much like Princess Aiko's dog. As far as he was concerned, it looked like a mutt, but other people identified it as a Japanese breed -- a Shiba. That dog lived until she was almost 20.
Doesn’t she have a security team as the Obama kids do?

They’re supposed to be very nice little dogs.
um... can’t they just send her to an ALL GIRLS school?
this isn’t rocket science.
Looks like she is wearing a little sailor suit for the U.S. Navy.
Maybe she cries when she hears them play “Anchors Aweigh.”
they are nice little dogs!
How horribly sad. It can be terribly damaging for a child to be picked on, and it breaks my heart to see it. Growing up in the inner city, I learned at an early age to go after bullies tooth and nail — and I still do today. They are despicable.
“maybe she has inherited the predisposition to emotional illness of her mother”
Sounds like it to me.
Well, if Judy was really a Shiba — or a Shiba mix — she was a wonderful little dog, curly tail and all. She played endlessly with the 4 kids in that family, and all the cousins too, until she was very old.
Judy looked just like the dog in the picture. Of course, in the 1940s in CA we had never seen anything like her and thought she was just a mutt. It was after the war that a Japanese acquaintance of my Uncle identified her as a “special Japanese breed”.
Cute name for a dog.
