The Senate health bill is a 2,407-page labyrinth strewn with the legislative equivalents of improvised explosive devices -- disguised provisions that will result in federal pro-abortion mandates and federal subsidies for abortion. The so-called abortion limits that are in the Senate bill are all very narrow, riddled with loopholes, or booby-trapped to expire.

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.

The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.

“President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees” in fiscal 2010, Matz said. “We took them at their word, and I can’t believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward,” he added.

I want to ask all Catholics here on FreeRepublic, if this were the only issue resolved for you about Obamacare, would that be enough for you to agree that Obamacare should be passed???

Because, if your answer to my question is yes, and you think you know allot of what else is in Obamacare, then I do not count you as a Conservative at all.

Fixing this issue by itself could NEVER cause me to approve one single bit of Obamacare.

Obamacare is not about health care, it is not about abortion, no matter how it treats it, it is, at it’s core, about a socialist power grab for Federal power over our lives, period, end of story.

It is fine to oppose the way abortion is treated in Obamacare, but that ALONE CANNOT BE what brings a true Conservative to agreement with Obamacare!!!! Those for whom THAT is a big priority need instead to be reaching out and joining with OTHER opponents of Obamacare
