The left is enamored with intelligence as is made evident in the number of articles lately which tout the supposed fact that liberals are more intelligent than conservatives, Obama is the smartest president we've ever had, Bush is dumb, Palin is dumb, and the Tea Party goers are lucky to know how to tie their shoes. I maintain this rabid devotion to intelligence in the political realm is dangerous. No one is smart enough to micromanage millions, if not billions of people. It is like trying to tame the sea. It can not be done! The world would function best if an educated populous were left to make the decisions which were best for them. An idea which sounds vaguely familiar!
Right now, I feel as though we, the American people, are like caged animals, pacing back and forth, waiting for our demise, while those "intellectuals" decide how they are going to cook us for dinner.
