What about texting? can they monitor those? If not, it wont be very hard for the terrorists to get around it, and our privacy is shot for nothing.

Text messages are being automatically scanned for certain keywords in an effort to root out pornography, salacious conversation and anything that violates the parameters for acceptable content that are decided by the central government. The central government, however, has not published what those parameters are, so consumers that want to keep their cellular service will likely keep texts more than a little innocuous on any number of fronts.

If a communication is flagged, the police will evaluate the text messages to determine with their own judgment if they violate the undefined “unhealthy content” rules. Human rights supporters have pointed out that the potential for the abuse of power is clear given the lack of codified guidelines.

I wonder how long it will take for that to happen here. Because we are in debt to china. It appears they are beginning to pull our strings everyday.
