Honestly, Deal is going to have to stay in office indefinitely. If he delays his resignation a few weeks, Pelosi can just schedule another vote after that.

As I understand, the reason for the March date was so that the whole pant load could be wrapped up before they leave for Easter recess. Once they come back (if they do) home for Easter recess, the folks back home will bring tar, feathers, pitchforks, and torches. If they thought the summer Tea Parties were tough, wait until the Easter recess as last summer will seem like a Sunday picnic.
The only hope Pelosi has is to get them to vote before the big "meet and greet" back home. Once they return from the recess, many will be followed by voters with boxes and moving vans...to help them pack.
