William Howard Taft, on the other hand, was a deplorable American President who as you rightly note, did briefly serve as Imperial Governor of Cuba before moving on to the Presidency where he advanced such “conservative” policies as strengthening the Interstate Commerce Commision, passing the 16th Amendment (The Income Tax), and overseeing an illegal invasion of Nicaragua.
Whatever shortcomings Adam Kokesh may have as a candidate, I’m sure he at least knows the difference between the two.
I am aware of that, however, it has become a common misconception among these kids who think they know about the Liberty movement that it is in ref to President Taft- always highlighting policy differences between him and Wilson versus Senator Taft and the differences between him and FDR. I was referring to the common discussion among the dolts.
As for if Kokesh knows, I doubt it.. other than spouting a few lines verbatim from blogs, he seems to be a dolt. He just repeats Paulianian mantras instead of understanding the fundamentals.
...to pile on to that, I just did a quick Google check of Taft references at the “Daily Paul” and over half seem to refer to President Taft instead of Senator Taft.
You are right who they ‘should’ compare to, but it isn’t the case of who they are comparing to.
