I don’t like the way they do business, treat POWs, fix prices, and their lousy airport in Tokyo. NHTSA has allowed them to get away with murder for years, bunch of gov’t. libtards who drive their crap run the agency.

I bought a VCR and a microwave from them since 2000. Cost was less than $90 total for both. Damn Sanyo uWave has to be checked everytime I turn it on, the start switch can change the time and overcook anything because it is not properly debounced.

My understanding is a WOT signal from the pedal is zero volts, same as a broken wire on that circuit to the ECM.

Not so. See http://energycommerce.house.gov/Press_111/20100222/Exponent.Report.February.2010.pdf

As several people have said before, it could be electronics. Although I would enjoy watching that foreign invader squirm, I pray more Americans don’t die because of more poor quality by overrated Toyota.

” It appears as though the owners and their lawyers are looking for a slice of the “American Dream”.”

Exactly. You even see losers suing over incidents with cars that aren’t remotely of the same vintage as those recalled. Toyota will be facing sleazy lawyers for years and years.

“My 2005 Sienna lags at acceleration at times, too. Not as dangerous, but it’s annoying. I think it’s a software glitch, too.”

Could be something old fashion like a dirty throttle body too. Doesn’t have to be the computer.

What I meant is I think the recall prob is a software prob. Mine? Who knows....but thanks for the tip on the throttle body- will have it looked into...

Look at history. Sometimes foreign invaders are welcomed by some. This American has never wanted one and will never want one. I select vehicles for a combination of longevity, overall cost, maintainability, looks, durability, utility, performance and I also try to support American companies.
