Glock Rocks, awesome thread, thank you.

A bit late (learning mode) but here are photos of the Las Vegas race:

We might be on page 6 –

WCG – The only “bearded one” I saw was J.J. Also saw JPM. I did get some great photos of the ‘88’ though.

The LVMS is a GREAT venue to see a NASCAR race and is about 15 miles from the strip out in the desert. Thank God for sunshine on Sunday! The Neon Garage is a must visit and gives the fans a close-up look at all of their favorite cars; the entire facility is extremely neat & clean…9th consecutive sell-out and they deserve a 2nd race in the fall. The pre-race ceremonies included 4 sky-divers and an aerobatic smoke plane & helicopter. Didn’t see Kim K and didn’t want to but we did rub shoulders with the Sprint girl and the Vegas show girls in the Neon garage. Everyone behaved – no fights and we only saw one intoxicated person at the track. The fly-over was awesome and not shown on TV was when the planes, still trailing smoke, going in for a landing at Nellis still in formation between turns 2 & 3. Jeff Gordon’s ‘24’ looked wicked fast just sitting in the garage – you just knew he was going to have a good run. If only Tubebender woulda changed my drivers like I asked…..the race was fun….clean & fast race….JPM said some very bad things on PRN (think soap & mouth) when describing McMurray’s driving.

‘Vegas has something for everyone. We hit about 12 casinos spending $5.00 in each on dollar slots. We ended up w/net winnings to pay for one day there…we are not big gamblers. Ate at Praggos in the Forum at Caesars Palace & Canelettos near the inside canal (with singing gondolier’s steering gondola’s without tourists) at The Venetian. We shopped the “Miracle Mile” and other outlets and enjoyed the water shows near the Bellagio Hotel. Bud Lite was the drink of choice on the strip and at the track. Saw a lot of Dewalt “colors’ but the driver of choice was J.J. followed by Dale Jr. Met several nice couples including an elderly gentlemen from Michigan – it was his first NASCAR race & first time flying.

Las Vegas Mac – The only negative is those @#$%*(@ dudes accosting you everywhere with those credit-card size cards advertising ladies services. The mess created by the thousands of cards immediately thrown to the ground and the dudes handed them out needs to be dealt with. I’d call Sheriff Joe from Arizona…….

Wow - cool recap of your visit. Sounds like a great time was had by all.

I should have passed along, but didn’t learn until you had left there was a tweetup including Amanda and Scott Speed and Jeff Gluck on Sunday before the race. The week before at Fontana TJ Majors also joined for a short Q&A before the race. There is one every week and is getting bigger.

Going to look at your pics now. :)

I wish I could go to that track.

Doubt I can even make TMS this year with my bad ankle/tendon problem :(
