I’m afraid I know how they plan to do this without getting kicked out in November.
Pelosi is assuring the Dims in the House that the Senate will “fix” it in Reconciliation, when she and Obama know that it can’t be fixed in Reconciliation either because they’ll let the “obstructionist” GOP in the Senate block reconciliation, or because they already know the Parliamentarian in the Senate won’t allow Reconciliation to change non-budget items in the bill.
So Obama will get the Senate version, and the Blue Dogs get screwed, but they have the Parliamentarian and the GOP to blame it on. So their idiot constituents re-elect them in November because it wasn’t their “fault” that what they were promised was blocked by the Parliamenartian.
Actually, I think you are right. It is the House RATS that are going to be screwed.
I don’t think it will save them at reelection time either.
This is going to end up being a trick so that Obozo gets to call victory.
