Bundy proposed to former coworker Carole Ann Boone, who had moved to Florida to be near Bundy, in the courtroom while questioning her on the stand. She readily accepted and Bundy announced to the courtroom that they were married. Following numerous conjugal visits between Bundy and his new wife, Boone gave birth to a daughter in October 1982. However, in 1986 Boone moved back to Washington and never returned to Florida. The current whereabouts of Boone and her daughter are unknown
Interesting about the conjugal visits. I’m sure that didn’t continue to fuel anything.
Bundy was one of the last high profile murderers to be actually executed. Too many die of “natural causes” in prison.
In some areas, they are looking at releasing prisoners who “don’t have long to live”.
There is some investigation now in the Lockerbie Bomber case since he reportedly had 3 months to live yet is still enjoying his freedom.
Wikipedia screwed that citation up. Florida death row inmates have never been allowed conjugal visits. Bundy passed his sperm in a baggie to his “wife” during a visit in the visitors hall. She use that to impregnate herself.
Since that time the rules have changed. Now death row inmates are not allowed any contact visits except with their lawyers. They are allowed a brief visit the day of their execution with immediate family.
