If I'm not mistaken, this is the same Governor who issued an executive order requiring all teenage girls in Texas to receive the Gardisil vaccine for the sexually transmitted virus that causes genital warts and cervical cancer. At the time, his former chief of staff had just taken a huge lobbying gig at Merck.
He's as big of a sleazeball as they come. But he also jumped on the Tea Party bandwagon early on and spouted a bunch of meaningless empty threats about Texas seceding from the Obama union.
I hate to say it, but most voters - including Republican voters - are extremely dumb. Ours are just a little less dumb than theirs are.
