Mort Zuckerman put up his own trial balloon, and it really didn't go anywhere. He was way behind Gilibrand in the polls, even as Giuliani and Pataki could probably take the Senate seat for the asking.
Amazingly, Zuckerman has a young daughter and he refuses to identify who her mother is.
Maybe Alphonse D'Amato could be coaxed to run for it??

I think it’s funny how most of the media/pundit class must look into the mirror every morning and see an elected office holder.
It’s like a sportswriter that believes they are worthy of being the head coach.
