I admit that right now the DC merry-go-round has me baffled. The Senate PASSED their version of this bill on Christmas Eve '09. As I have heard it to this point, Nancy has to round up enough of her colleagues to pass this bill by a simple majority.

BUT Madam Speaker now talks about a "simpler and less expensive bill" and the President talks about his bill(?) with adding 'some' GOP suggestions to it. So what happened to the Xmas Eve bill? Since these proposed bills involve new taxes and fees, doesn't it have to go through the House FIRST?!

Right now I think that, without any hyperbole, this entire thing is so flippin nuts that it would be rejected by a 3rd rate on-line amateur web site.
