No problem, in 4 years if things go right then the republicans can use the “nuclear option” to undo a whole lot of rat nonsense, that is if they have the guts (oh well it was a nice thought for about a minute).

No problem, in 4 years if things go right then the republicans can use the nuclear option to undo a whole lot of rat nonsense No problem? I see a big problem, unless you can name me one welfare type program that has ever been rescinded or even scaled back.
My favorite example is the so call Earned Income Tax Credit, whereby people get income tax "refunds" whether they have paid in or not and often times very large ones at that.
Proposed by Richard Nixon, signed into law by Gerald Ford and increased in every administration since - without exception.

Not sure about this but something has been bothering me the past few days.
Just before the Christmas Eve vote. I remember somebody saying something about a provision which said it couldn't be repealed or defunded. Does anybody remember that and what became of it? Is it still there?
