Definitely sounds like someone’s trying to keep this quiet...doesn’t it?
Thanks. We figured that there was a cover-up, but this certainly makes it more definite.
So, they just let them out where they can murder civilians instead of troops? Or even plot to murder troops from outside the base, as other terrorists have done?
Roger that.
So... they only threatened to do it?
Five Muslim soldiers under investigation after allegations surfaced of a potential plot to poison the food supply at Fort Jackson have been removed from active duty according to Rep. Joe Wilson's office.
I guess it’s safe to assume that they have no idea where these guys are now that they were released.
I hope the Muslims have changed their minds about a terrorist attack.
That hope and change crap again.
This burns me up! I work on Fort Jackson, I’m an Army Reservist on Fort Jackson, and there’s been nothing, N-O-T-H-I-N-G put out locally about this, just rumors.
Coverup, coverup, COVERUP!!!
):^(
Why are muslims let into our country, much less our military?
My understanding is they were overheard talking about it
SO thats okay then. lol. /sarcasm
That is very disturbing to hear, elcid970. I'm wondering what was on their computers that was so interesting that they have been turned over to the FBI.
(Thank you for your service.)
Americans today can't seem to understand why Japanese on American soil were rounded up into camps during WWII.
LOL. Nothing to see here, move along folks. /sarc.
I understand.
Plus here's a little more:If there was nothing to the allegations, then why were four of the five Muslim soldiers discharged? It seems to me that the earliest reports were wrong that the five Muslims were plotting to poison Fort Jackson's food supply. But later reports that there were nothing to the allegations were also clarified when we learned that the investigation was not into a plot but over comments about poisoning the food.
Interesting articleEarly reports had alleged that some of the accused were in contact with some
VirginiaNorth Carolina men who have been indicted on terror related charges. If the four were in contact with some would-be jihadis, then this alone is a serious charge. Especially after Fort Hood and Nidal Hasan.
Five soldiers were detained before Christmas of last year after allegations surfaced of "potential verbal threats against fellow soldiers," according to Fort Jackson Deputy Public Affairs Officer Patrick Jones.
Jones said on Thursday that one of those soldiers is still under investigation, though "there is still no credible evidence to substantiate the allegations," Jones cautioned.
The exact nature of the supposed threat is unclear, and it's also not known who actually made the allegations against the five soldiers.
Fort Jackson officials stressed that no soldiers were actually poisoned, and said no one at the post was ever in danger.
The Army investigation is being handled by Criminal Investigative Division, which has not disclosed where the soldier is, nor if he remains in detention.
