I thought tea parties were “set up” to get rid of RINOs and get some real conservatives. So another words they are not going to endorse Florida Senate Race? Crist vs. Rubio. Something doesn’t seem right.

BAD!
By failing to get behind a single candidate in the primary, they have set the stage to split the coservative vote among multiple conservative candidates. What does that mean? It means the RINO gets the nomination (see the 2008 Republican presidential primary for a perfect example of what happens when conservatives split their vote).
Yes, the Tea Party has no official leadership. But each of these groups should make it clear that while not speaking for the Tea Party movement as a whole, they do speak for the members of THEIR specific group.
To: Brookhaven
they do speak for the members of THEIR specific group. You got it,and the members said,NO ENDORSEMENT!
The members will back who they want individually.

They are calling themselves “organizers” not “leaders” - almost like an administrator. I suspect they could say say ‘spokesman”.

http://www.gilacourier.com/?p=5647 For everyone above who understands why it was important to protest McCain, thank you so much!!! Steve, as Thumper said, I did change the location of the protest when so many people who I respect thoughtfully expressed their dissatisfaction for location. However, most of those also told me they were also against McCain, so it will be interesting to see their future actions next time McCain rolls into town! And I couldnt disagree with you more about this not being a campaign opportunity. It was a very important campaign stop for McCain!!!!! Honest Anna, while I respect your opinion, I also couldnt disagree with you more. I did spend my time wisely. In fact, those who took the time to stand by my side on a street corner sent a statewide message louder than any house party ever could!! Now Im aiding an opponent? Really, hows that? In fact, if you think that regular tactics will be able to compete with the $5 million dollars that McCain has or the hold that he has established with the GOP, you are delusional and not wanting to see the truth. It will take every one of us who know the truth about McCains liberal voting record rolling up our sleeves, working hard, protesting him, uniting, and showing our strength in numbers to defeat him. And lastly, Roy. Thumper and Peter described exactly how it did occur. First you promote my event with an email, which I will post below this reply. You falsely named the organizer of the event as the Arizona Tea Party. It was I, Jill Henderson, who organized the event, no one else. Then you said it was an open border and amnesty protest. Again, you were wrong. Never did I give you permission to slander my event in that way. So you promote it first, and then you show up to protest my protest???? What? And you got a few individuals to follow you to the Manning House because of more lies. Jeez, good job Roy. Next time, why dont you hold your own protest instead of twisting lies and hijacking mine? And lastly, you say The mainstream Republicans have got to learn the ugly truth about McCain: Hes finished. If they nominate him for Senator well get another socialist in the fall, just like we got Obama. That is EXACTLY why many of us protested Friday. WE made that point, not you. Hijacking other peoples ideas and trying to discredit the tea party movement makes no sense in my opinion. Roys email sent out to supposedly 1,500 people: ARIZONA TEA PARTY PROTESTS SENATOR JOHN McCAIN.doc From: Roy Warden (roywarden@cox.net) Sent: Wed 2/17/10 6:53 PM To: MARK GOLDSTONE (chairman@arizonataxrevolt.org) Attachments: 1 attachment image001.jpg (9.1 KB) ARIZONA TEA PARTY PROTESTS SENATOR JOHN McCAIN McCain Support of Amnesty, Open Border Policy Challenged Event: PROTEST JOHN McCAIN Place: Corner of Granada and Congress Address: 407 W. Congress Street, Tucson AZ. (Tab for Map) Date: Friday February 19, 2010 Time: 5:00-7:00 pm. This Friday, in front of Senator John McCains Tucson office, the Arizona Tea Party will host a rally for Americans concerned with Arizona Open Border Policy and Senator McCains support for Amnesty. Most Americans are still confused as to why, as a Republican, Senator McCain supports Amnesty, said Tucson Activist Roy Warden. Americans still dont understand that thirty years ago members of the Arizona Republican Party first began the Industrial Strength importation of cheap Mexican labor to fuel Arizonas construction industry. To: SharpRightTurn
Being conservative is good, going to a tea party rally is great, becoming another moderate wimp in the attempt to become the schoolmaster of all us tea partying “children”, is going to kill the movement. If you are on the fence about endorsing McCain’s primary component, then what’s the point? Why does McCain always find a way to get a pass from conservatives on his way to electoral defeat in the big contests?

GOOD!
GOOD? Go read those comments again from these four do-nothings.
These knotheads better take a stand. this is the same lame middle of the road crap that has lead to the status quo.
Can they really tell me that Hayworth isn't better than McCain?
My cat is better than McCain!

These 4 pinheads have no business being in the Tea Parties, let alone presuming to speak for the Tea Parties..
To: mdittmar
Yep, the members will and should back who they want.
Seems some people have a hard time wrapping their brain around this.
NO ENDORSEMENTS!

Thank you for your recommendation that I should change my opinion.
I re-read the comments and find nothing offensive or dictatorial in tone or content; in fact, all four statements reiterated that as individuals we should make our own choices based on conscience - not endorsements.
Since I have no vote in AZ, my opinions of J.D. Hayworth and John McCain are moot. I shall continue to post commentary based on research and facts as they are learned. I promise not to impose my will.

JD Hayworth is having trouble finding support.
Did you see JD on Bill O’Reilly last Friday? He was backtracking on his past pro-Birther statements. He said he was merely promoting thoughtful when demanding to see Obama’s birth certificate.

“Did you see JD on Bill OReilly last Friday?”
I only caught the last part of the segment were he put in his silly plug for his website. But it now appears his getting caught up in this “birther” movement is hurting him. Additionally, McCain’s recent rollout of endorsements has been impressive. Hayworth’s going to lose. McCain has all the mo’ and all the money.
