Everyone carrying a concealed weapon should have a CCW permit on them. If an officer approaches you all you have to do is show him/her your CCW permit. They can not arrest you unless you are carrying in a place that has been legally posted as a weapons free zone.

I might add that your CCW permit will only be good if you are carrying in the state that issued it unless you are in another state that recognizes your state's CCW coverage. Also, if you are pulled over for any traffic violations, you do not have to tell the officer that you have a weapon in the car. Just show him/her your CCW permit. Again, if the state you are in at the time does not recognize your state's CCW coverage, you could be arrested for illegal weapons procession.
