FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Former President George W. Bush says he turned to his faith during tough times in his eight years in office.
He told more than 1,100 people at a banquet Saturday night for Fort Worth Christian School that he didn't see how he could be president without prayer.

Yes, while I may not have always agreed with him or his father, both have shown great class and grace in the face of childish, hateful opponents.
“he didn’t see how he could be president without prayer”
Meanwhile, Obama looks at this statement and says, “well, I don’t think you absolutely HAVE to pray.”
The Lord helps those who help themselves. Bush sucked domestically.
So [scratching chin] . . . Bush sucked, therefore the Lord did not help him. Absolutely brilliant.
Yep, his enemies won.
His Homeland Security Department saved your butt - and mine!!
Yeah, I get that logic also: but for the Phillies, the Yankees won the World Series.
Yeah- others could not, did not necessarily do better, but Bush sucks. Not only is it brilliant, it is predictable. I can only assume Bush bashers are thrilled with what we have now. No president is going to be perfect. But no president should have the ooportunity to rape and plunder our country as is being done now.
I skip right past the bashings because I’ve never found one that has accomplished near to the man they’re bashing.
A blessed Lord’s day to you, dear BARLF!
Thanks Onyx , same to you my FRiend.
You can tell he’s a Christian by all the persecution he got.
AND THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE . . .
LYING ABOUT PRESIDENT BUSH: DECEPTION AS A PRINCIPLE OF GOVERANCE (and, too frequently by pseudo-cons, as a principle of debate):

I agree... but in retrospect he looks pretty good, at least compared to what we have now
