I was curious so I went and looked up the number of earthquakes per year since 2000:

2000: 22,256
2001: 23,534
2002: 27,454
2003: 31,419
2004: 31,194
2005: 30,478
2006: 29.568
2007: 29,685
2008: 31,777
2009: 14,788
2010: 1,732 (so far)

Something that is interesting is that if you scroll down to the bottom of page you can see that they are actually able to detect and plot the location of mine blasts which occur each day. They have them listed on a separate explosions listing.

Interesting - thanks.

The thought that keeps coming to me is that we are living in a time when “the things that can shaken are being shaken...but the things that cannot be shaken will stand”.

I know there is a verse about that but haven’t been awake long enough to look it up yet...
