Regardless - Peres is a total dove. But the difference is that doves in Israel still LOVE THEIR COUNTRY and understand their enemies (and are generally some kick-a&& combat heroes)...Peres would have loved to end the conflict, but now, even he, realizes that both sides must want peace for it to end, and the Palestinians have no desire for it.

Then why have jails? When we put people away it’s for a REASON - and that’s because we no longer trust them to be safe for society.
And a governor that’s so ARROGANT as to feel he’s above the law (like Dukakis) leads to DEAD PEOPLE - in this case, a bunch of families lost their dads.
