I think just about anyone will be able to beat Obama.
The Republican Party and the GCM will nominate Mitt Romney. It’s his turn.
From Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitch_Daniels
Daniels was part of the Reagan Administration when he became chief political advisor and liaison to President Ronald Reagan in August 1985.
He is a Presbyterian. Daniels is a grandson of Syrian immigrants and was honored by the Arab-American Institute for his work in the community.
I’ve seen this guy on C-Span. He’s a down to earth, smart, modest individual—everything Obama is not. Put up against him, Obama would look like the egomaniacal, preening phoney that he is. Daniels has gravitas. Republicans could win with him.
We’re in bad shape if the best that we can do is to nominate Mitch.
Mitch would be a great pick for Sec. of the Tres. in the Palin Adm.
Bean counters don’t make for great people for National elections One reason Mitt will never win.
Mitch would be a better team player in the cabinet
I have not really been paying much attention to the speculation over who will run in 2012, but he would be at the top of my list of consideration. A solid track record of successfully applying conservative principles, executive experience, a firm grasp of national issues, proven ability to attract voters beyond the conservative base; he seems like a candidate straight from central casting.
I haven’t had anyone tell me yet that this guy is a social conservative, what little I can uncover seems to indicate that he isn’t.
Some freepers have speculated that he would be useful for diluting Mitt Romney’s support in the primary.
