While Obama is clearly at the top of the tree, that tree is supported most of all by the mainstream media.

And at the very bottom of the roots sucking nutrition from the ground are our government K-12 schools, too many private K-12 schools, and our universities and colleges.

It is these institutions that are the capillaries that feed into the rest of the treasonous Marxist system...Yet...It is amazing to me how many conservatives feel that their child's government K-12 school is somehow “different”. ( What hogs’ slop!)

Until the MSM start doing a job on him, there is no hope for impeachment or removal. The courts are cutting him slack on being a born in Kenyan. They don’t want to know whether he was or wasn’t born there.

Ok. Obama and the liberal congressmen must go. Totally agreed. However, your constant slamming of conservatives serving in public schools is not only unproductive but also nonfactual.

First of all, you are always describing public schools as “government” schools. It sounds as though you mean by this that they are all “federal government” schools. If I misunderstand, I apologize. Surely, you do realize that public schools are local state and county governed, legislated, and funded.

Does the federal government get involved in public schools? - Unfortunately, yes - through the states taking tax dollars from the feds. This is probably one of the biggest problems with public schools. Once you take the money, you have to dance to the feds tune. This problem can be changed - and, not all states take the federal money.

However, that being said, every state and county school board is responsible for and determines the academic standards for each state. Each state determines the qualifications of teachers, principals, etc. - not the federal government.

When you say, “government schools”, to be consistent you should also say, “government (local) police”, “government firemen”. All these are funded by taxpayer dollars so I suppose you would also say that the local police and firemen are also examples of “socialism” - just like you refer to public schools as an example of unconstitutional socialism.

You - (yes - you) the local voter and citizen can and must develop and vote for conservative school board members and state legislators. These are the people who determine the curriculum and the qualifications for students to graduate.
Over and over and over, you keep spewing your broad-brushed stereo-type of all public schools. I'm not denying that public schools have problems - but, these problems are fixable on the local and state level.

Get the federal government out of the “education” business by voting in conservative senators and house members nationally. Vote in local conservative school board, state legislators, and university regents. This is where the long road to recapturing academic excellence for all of our public schools begins.

It is "amazing to me" how you, wintertime, always, always, speak about all teachers and all schools as all being the same and they are not!! Heaven above, woman! Instead of shooting conservative teachers and administrators in the back, how about encouraging other conservatives to get into teaching and educating in your state's public schools.

It may surprise you to know that the public schools in my state do perform the Pledge of Allegiance every day - we even have a quiet time for prayer every day. We teach our students all the patriotic songs of our nation, we do teach our students about this great country's rich history and heritage - the good that far outweighs the bad. We don't teach Marxism - we do teach personal responsibility. Do we have some stupid, socialist types - of course, but, these people are not the vast majority of teachers (at least in my state).

There are hundreds of thousands of public schools in our nation. It only takes a few stories of bad behavior, even outrageous behavior by some school teachers and administrators to make the headlines. See these national headlines week after week gives the impression that all teachers and schools are like the ones you hear about in the news. This just isn't true.

I venture to guess that the vast majority of the people who post here on freepers were probably educated in public schools - (you too, wintertime??) - so they weren't all bad. But, we have all seen the deterioration of our nation morally, spiritually and socially for the past 50 years. That deterioration also appears in our public schools too (just like it has in every thing).

However, remember it was the Supreme Court of the U.S. that removed public prayers from public schools - not the public schools themselves. It is usually individuals who bring lawsuits against public schools that force them to accommodate this group or that group.
It is the liberals on college campus's, in local,
state, and national government that have moved for more and more intrusion upon the public schools by the federal government. The good news is this can be changed!!

If Massachusetts can vote in a republican in Teddy Kennedy's senate seat - then, surely, even the public schools can be influenced for the better and get the ones that are having problems back on track.

There are bad teachers, bad cops, bad judges, bad politicians, even some bad home-school parents - but, they are not the majority - otherwise, why try to make things better at all. Just give up! That's what you are saying - give up the ground to the enemy.

I say - “No way!!”
