“Proven conservatives” don’t gush over liberals and don’t get emotionally invested in a politician to the degree that they can’t stand any criticism of that politician’s policies and view it as a personal attack.
Bush was a liberal President. Yes, Obama is worse. Yes, Kerry would’ve been worse. So would Gore. That we have such a rogue’s gallery running or winning the office does NOT mean Bush was a good, conservative, President at all. We look at his ACTIONS as President - not some nebulous aura of a “good, Christian, man” you’ve constructed for him.
The man tried to REPLACE YOU as a VOTER for more tractable Mexicans and you still defend him as if he were a saint....

“Conservatives” don’t believe other conservatives are “demons” for disagreeing vehemently with destructive liberal policies. You see, to us, it’s about the POLICIES - not fantasies built up about someone we don’t personally know. This is the real world - with debt and expansive government - not Political Idol and conservatives have a right to be pretty damn angry over what Bush and McCain tried to pull while claiming they too were “conservatives”. NO MORE.
The truth of the matter was that George W. Bush, like his father, was a liberal Republican. He believed government was the answer, not the problem and that Americans were “nativists” (as if preferring your country and countrymen is somehow a bad thing) for opposing Dubai’s port terminal ownership, “sexists” for opposing one of his USSC picks, and lazy and better replaced with Mexicans. His wife is Pro-Abort (one of those “safe, legal, and rare” people), according to an interview. I don’t know what he believes personally (neither do you), but there are ALWAYS people looking. He may be pro-Life. Good for him. When you add in the rest of his agenda, it’s more than a wash. He was a leaning-pro-Life Clinton who didn’t sleep around.

Integrity is holding to your oath of office. Not saddling the unborn with more debt to buy the approval of Bono and other liberals is having integrity. I’m sorry you are blind to his actual political agenda while in office.

A reminder, or new information if you are unaquainted with God's word. Lying is a sin. It doesn't matter if you're anonymous. It doesn't matter if you're self-righteous. You're still sinning. In a huge and ugly way.
And you're not getting away with it before a Holy and Righteous God.
