On the radio KFI LA..
Surely you recognize the different standards that apply to our feckless leader and his predecessor?
I am declaring the Hawaiian tsunami threat over...
Now saying it was smaller than they thought...
I surmise one of two things may be happening.
1) An insidious Latino Tsunami which slips across our borders and rivers undetected, blending in with our waters but draining our sustenance.
2) A pronouncement from Al Gore that this is more horid than a giant wave, because it is the dreaded Global Warming Underwater Tsunami, which has scoured out and devastated the natural environment of killer and grey whales, leaving them to die a slow lingering death, which only he can prevent by us entrusting him with billions of funds and inhibited manufacturing production.
I think I’m watching an CYA mea culpa interview.

LOL too true!
56th major aftershock, magnitude 5.2, centered off Bio-Bio shore of #Chile - U.S. Geological Survey http://bit.ly/bNnr0w
Probably not- but it usually depends on how shallow the quake is. The shallower the more likely it will generate a tsunami.
63rd major aftershock, magnitude 5.2, centered off Libertador O’Higgins shore of #Chile - U.S. Geological Survey http://bit.ly/9KaI8U
Interesting that he said they’re seeing exactly what they expected... I had to kill the feed so I don’t know what else he said.
The scientists should have had a clue as to the magnitude based on the waves that hit other parts of the Pacific rim earlier.
Then I’m confused. The initial Chile quake was 22km deep and it causes a wave, but the Haiti quake didn’t.
Guess you can tell I focused on math and biology and physics, eh?
So who came up with “8-foot wave to strike HI!”?
Yep...They’re all pulling away from the Hawaiian tsunami coverage.
The reef the local station has been watching is being covered again, waves are still coming in but it’s nothing like what they were suggesting.
Mayor of Santiago, #Chile, orders evacuation of residents around factory where fire released toxic chemical cloud http://bit.ly/aKtBx5
Oy, that’s not good.
That’s only part of what causes them though:) Apparently this one was similar in nature to the one in Banda Aceh - the type of fault is similar whereas the one in Haiti is on a different type.
Civil Defense back on, they say people on Waikiki are getting in the water.
Ah, okay. Not a seismologist, so thanks for the heads-up!
