MARTIN, Tenn. - Former vice president and Nobel Peach Prize winner Al Gore will receive an honorary doctoral degree from the University of Tennessee.
The degree - an Honorary Doctor of Laws and Humane Letters in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology - will be given to Gore at the spring commencement exercises of the College of Arts and Sciences on May 14, where he will be the featured speaker.
"Vice President Gore's career has been marked by visionary leadership, and his work has quite literally changed our planet for the better," UT Knoxville Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek said in a statement. "He is among the most accomplished and respected Tennesseans in history, and it is fitting that he should be honored by the flagship education institution of his home state."

Maybe we need to contribute a flood of articles on the scam, lies and frauds that they are in the process of honoring.

AlGore besmirches the reputation of the great state of Tennessee. Al was BORN AND RAISED in DC and is NOT a true Tennessean.
Albert Gore, Jr. was born in Washington, D.C., to Albert Gore, Sr., a U.S. Representative (19391944, 19451953) and Senator (19531971) from Tennessee, and Pauline LaFon Gore, one of the first women to graduate from Vanderbilt University Law School. His older sister Nancy LaFon Gore, who was born in 1938, died of lung cancer in 1984. Gore divided his childhood between Washington, D.C. and Carthage, Tennessee. During summer vacations, Gore worked on the family farm in Carthage where the Gores grew hay and tobacco and raised cattle. Each school year, however, the family lived in The Fairfax Hotel at Embassy Row in Washington D.C.

I didnt know they had degrees in BS But he's getting an honorary doctoral degree... or PHD. That's much better than a "BS", as its Piled Higher and Deeper. Its even one step better than an "MS", or More of the Same.

Right person, wrong field. It should be a Honorary Doctor of Laws and Humane Letters in Creative Writing for Science Fiction Film Studies.

But they wouldn't even let him teach there in 2001. Gore had to go to Middle Tennessee State to teach a class after losing the election.
So now UT wants to give him a degree?

Don’t get too proud, it could well have been. Our UT is a liberal hell hole too.
