Captured Jundallah Leader Rigi: U.S. Promised Military Base, Unlimited Aid

Jundallah terrorist leader Abdolmalek Rigi confesses to offers of unlimited support by the US spy agency, the CIA.

In a televised confession on Iran's Press TV, captured Jundallah leader Abdolmalek Rigi said that in a Dubai meeting with CIA agents, he was promised unlimited support that included a military base somewhere near the Iranian border equipped with weaponry and training facilities.

Rigi added that he was to meet a top U.S. intelligence official at the U.S. military base of Manas in Kyrgyzstan to work out the details of the support that the U.S. would provide for his group.

He emphasized that during the meetings with him, the U.S. operatives insisted that Iran was their primary focus in the region, and was even more important than Al-Qaeda and the Taliban.

Rigi added that the CIA agents also explained to him that since a U.S. military attack on Iran would be very difficult, they intended to support all anti-Iran groups capable of waging war inside Iran and destabilizing the country.

You beat me too it.

The only reason the Barry administration would send this guy to Iran would be to invite Nutjob to the White House for a barbecue.

Exactly, I don't see anyone in the CIA (Collective Imbecile Alliance) having the guts or the brains to actually support a viable rebel group in Iran. Remember these are the guys who thought that a crazed Muslim who wanted to learn to fly a commercial airliner, but not how to land it, wasn't a big deal.

Sounds like save my a$$ stuff to me. I doubt that someone such as this bum was privy to all of this kind of information. Our Intel folks are bad, but not that bad.

This definitely sounds like another IRI propaganda piece.

The examples of IRI detaining and then obtaining forced confessions from Iranians (including from ex-pats such as Haleh Esfandiari back in 2007) to implicate “external/foreign enemies” are numerous.

Most often than not, these forced confessions shown on TV in Iran, and vastly distributed by MSM, almost always highlight recycled conspiracy theories on how foreign-supported individuals and groups have been & are trying to bring about a “velvet revolution” or destabilizing Iran. It then gives the Mullahs’ regime in Iran another excuse & a platform to cry out foul, claiming they’ve been subject of terrorism.

The big terrorist organization is the Mullahs’ regime itself, which also brutally kills & terrorizes its own citizens (even for peaceful protests).

It is time IRI was held accountable, first & foremost, for its own atrocious actions, rather than us allowing them to divert attention and pass the entire accountability onto others.

“There have been numerous and contradictory accounts of how Mr. Rigi was “captured.” Regime’s English language network Press TV reported that he was “arrested” in one of Iran’s southern ports when his jet was “forced” to land while taking him from Kyragyzstan to Dubai.”

“Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Agency however reported that he had been “captured” abroad and brought to Iran. Despite different reports one thing is for certain, Mr. Rigi was not simply apprehended, he was kidnapped and brought to Iran.”

“While many Iranian opposition may not agree with Mr. Rigi’s political convictions, silence in the face of this international kidnapping may have very negative implications for Iranian opposition abroad.”

“If today we remain silent in the face of this international kidnapping and allow the Islamic Regime and any other country that through “backroom” deals may have helped in the capture of Mr. Rigi we risk facing similar situations with other opposition leaders and activists in the near future.”
