Hmmm, didn’t hear a lot about this. I thought the Patriot Act was the worst thing ever to have been pushed on Americans by Bush-Cheney. Hmmm, amazing how times have changed. This time, the MSM doesn’t give it much coverage.
Yes, it is amazing how W. pretty much wrote the foreign policy for this President, as far as Patriot Act and a few other things are concerned.
(Not so much with North Korea, Iran, etc.)
Dems have majorities in Senate and House and have usurped the WH. They now have Homeland Security Responsibility. With that comes consequences if something they did with Patriot Act results in a terrorist attack on US soil.
They were able to sneak this in under cover of Onada’s health care fiasco yesterday. I’ll be very interested if it is reported in my local paper or the Gov’t-controlled Media.
I suspect the rank and file dem voter will never know it. On the other hand, it answers the argument these same people have against the Patriot Act. Their guys voted to keep it just the way it is so what could possibly be wrong with it?
