Jimmy Carter Upset By Obama Comparison

The news that is not White House approved...

Carter: The Sequel

Former President Jimmy Carter is fuming. Given his disastrous record in office you would think that he would be happy to be compared to the Anointed One, but apparently President Obama has made such a mess that even Carter is now distancing himself.

When foreign policy analyst Walter Russell Meade compared the two in the journal Foreign Policy, Carter submitted a letter to the editor noting this displeasure, stating, "I resent Meade's use of such phrases as, 'In the worst scenario turn him [Obama] into a new Jimmy Carter' to describe my service."

Carter concludes that during his presidency "we greatly expanded our global influence and also protected the security, strength, ideals and integrity of the U.S."

Judging by the way things are going, I predict by 2012 President Obama will want to be compared to Carter.

I foresaw this and predict that Barry will finish considerably LOWER than even Carter —something hard to accomplish.

It will be so bad that ANY future black candidate —no matter HOW exquisitely qualified— will have to fight his way through a huge amount of detritus, worry, and angst.

There’s a very thin line between politics and satire these days.

Jimmie knows he’s not like Obama, because he didn’t get the same attention Obama received whenever he took the stage in south Texas.

Of course Obama refuses to return, because every time he took the stage, some South Texan cotton farmer would start bidding.

I personally used the Obama-Carter “model” as the Alzheimers mini mental test with my (now gone) parents....comparing ludicrous to ludicrous sometimes works.

we greatly expanded our global influence...

How true. Until Carter stepped up to the plate, those dour old Communist octogenarians hadn't laughed since the end of WW II. As for security, well, with a dozen countries falling to the communists on Carter's watch, there were that many fewer potential places we had to defend. I guess that was worth something eh.

NOW you know things are bad for Obama when not even Jimmy Carter, who until now was the worst President ever, doesn’t want to be compared to Obama
